Product Description
The Indian "Nimbu Achaar" also known as Champra Pickle / Elumicchai Pickle / Lemon Pickle in other part of India, has been overwhelming mention, as an integral part of Indian cuisine, from an ancient text to the chronicles of Ibn Battuta.
This home-made lemon pickle is prepared by women from the cooperative society using semi-ripen Desi lemon which is naturally grown in the farmhouse located in the village of Shubhagpur, Gonda, U.P.
The true taste and strong aroma of this homemade Lemon Pickles comes when after mixing all ingredient such as lemon, mustard seeds, black salt, lemon juice, ground spices and putting jar under direct sunlight for 3-4 hours daily. After 8 - 10 months, the color of the lemon skin gets browned.
Older the pickle, darker in color, mellower it is. Enjoy the exotic and most authentic flavor of this pickle with parathas or with your daily meal.
Moisture spoils the pickle so use only clean and dry hand and spoon.
Pls note: We have not used any chemical or preservative in this product.
